There upon opening

The book led me

Deep inside to inquire within

The words seem

To read by themselves

The story set out

Full of mystery, suspense

Innocent and yet worldly

 

Entranced, I read on

A girl to discover

A long forgotten

Ghostly presence

Would bring her

To a new level

Of understanding

 

Forgiveness

Trust

Friendship

And Love

Here was this story

Forgotten until

A bonding came forth

To bear fruit

On an unbearan tree

And tears and words

Would soon set

‘The Canteville Ghost’ free.

Moments Into Blindness

One day many moons ago,

I awoke and could not see

Darkness and a fuzzy haze

Was all my eyes could focus upon

The scare had stirred up emotions

Closing my eyes helped

Feeling around for some bearings

Allowing my body to recover

From the shock of the moment

Breathing deeply in and out

I knew somehow, I was going no where

In need of some answers, but rest first

I found my way through the room

To a place I could rest my head

Pulling the covers up

Comfortable, I took a nap

Awakening, I opened my eyes

Slowly and discovered

I could see again

But the sense of blindness

Has lingered on

Many moons have past

Since the writings

Wise and concise

Foretold of questions

Yet to be asked

Voices not born

Lore telling truths

Many would deny

Secrets within

Unifying moments

Would bring unity

And understanding

There are many

In one, but only if

And a big if

We recognized

Our right to carry on

Inspiring others

To find joy

Within the wisdom

Written so long ago

Our eyes gazed

Upon one another

A connection seemed

To attach us together

We chatted

Then had long talks

Each enriching

Our lives

Entangling them

Growing closer

And then it happened

The reaching

Of each other’s arms

The forming of the hug

Fully embracing

Settling our affection

We have now

The Forever Hug

Connecting us

Always with our love

To look yonder

Nothing in particular

To see beyond

But a reflection

Of days to ponder

Past gone by

Memories linger

Waves collapsed

In the mind

As she thinks back

Reflections of pathways

Seem to creep by

Similarities in some

Others purely unique

Conquests shared

Trophies long since faded

Connections grew

To complete networks

A force within awakened

Sparking a new revelation

Creating joy for all

Who beaconed nearby

Fostering new life

And new growth

Through collaboration

And enrichment

Via creative

And wonderment

She returned with a smile

To share with those who care

Some people may freight

For snow and rain have stayed

However when the blooms

Have started to rise

The moment has come

To see a new day upon us

And life appears to gain

Hope lives on within our hearts

As we carry ourselves

Bringing our light with us

Come hither
Trust issues
As they demand
Following
No voice
Just silence
Changing
Rules
Heartbroken
Hidden Truths
Somehow prevail
Unspoken hollowings
Uneasiness
Cries for tears
Unknown wanderings
Stepping aside
As if pushed
Paintings undone
Writings rewritten
History told
Through obscure lenses
Banished truthsayers
A cry silenced
With snowflakes
Or pesticide chemicals eaten
Drinking forbidden
Waters to comfort
Whispers sewn
In plain sight
Secrets speak out
A call for hope
Nothing but brightness
Will light tomorrow
With love
And joy
