Her Daydream

Her eyes gazed over
To look yonder
Nothing in particular
To see beyond
But a reflection
Of days to ponder
Past gone by
Memories linger
Waves collapsed
In the mind
As she thinks back
Reflections of pathways
Seem to creep by
Similarities in some
Others purely unique
Conquests shared
Trophies long since faded
Connections grew
To complete networks
A force within awakened
Sparking a new revelation
Creating joy for all
Who beaconed nearby
Fostering new life
And new growth
Through collaboration
And enrichment
Via creative
And wonderment
She returned with a smile
To share with those who care

Inviting Hand From Death …

<This poem was written in reference to a photo depicting ‘Death reaching out to a person who was sitting under a tree in a forest area’>

Sitting alone under the great tree
Pondering about life and it’s treated of me
Searching for answers that are not to be
Daydreaming of days past by
Longing for something to clench at
Idealizing my future plans with dreams
Of granduer. Only to be returned to
A lowly feeling with a vision appearing out of no where
Dark shadows tempting and alluring me
Invitingly presents a hand stretched out
Giving me a chance at something different
Here is a gift of the everlasting life, free to take
No more anger or pain, hardships disappeared

Only joy and love remain
Grasp this hand and be set free

Wise Up About Maybe

Why Not Maybe

Choices of either
Yes or No
A different path
Calls to say
Hello, I am nearby
Voices tell partly truths
Giving positive
Only on their view
Agreeing with some aspect
Persuaded not to look further
Combining is the only way
But what about maybe
Maybe seems always left behind
Never given a second thought
Discussed by those with no voices
Left silent
However maybe is used
To give a voice
To artist, writer, actor, teacher, engineer,
Creators of innovation
Seeing visions of a brighter future
For All
Instead of the few
Those few who have it all
And just want the world
Time for Maybe
Is here at hand
Our water, land, and hearts
Are devoted to Maybe
And someday Maybe
Maybe will achieve
What yes could never do

Hope

Starting off in pure darkness
A spark of light began
Seemingly from no where
But to show a way
Out of the night
Beaming with delight
The heart raced
Only to discover
Words to follow
One led this way
Another that
All ending somewhere
Which path to take
Some said they went down here
Others took another one
Meanings changed with words
Growing from seeds
Laid centuries ago
Which way to know
Truth will prosper
Comforting and humbling
Choosing the joyney
Is the only option
For seeking hope
Will rise as the sunsets

Painted Pathway

starting out on my own
a few brushstrokes creating a path
no one is certain of the destination
the universe is the true limit
hollering for guidance,
make sure someone is listening
scared and confused as the rules
keep changing, no one is clear
where anything is headed
some are definitely sure their view is true
however many see echoes of the past
reemerging…darkness divisions
cracks of light seep into sight
a child cries out
the future is for all
since choices were made
calling it a night

Miles Before I Wake

Scenes of life passing by
Trees and towns
People living all around
Partial glimpses into
What was thought
As ordinary
Some learning rules
Others living them
A few breaking barriers
Setting trends or standing ground
The destination unknown
Although much do speculate
And many do believe
Nothing guaranteed
Tangled promises
Joys desired
Silenced into submission
Hearts unfurled
Obedience is law
Freedom only perceived
Trains seldom stop
Long journey ahead
Miles before I wake
Searching for the destination
Scenes will disappear
Traveling through life

Honesty

I was honest with someone tonight
I told them how I felt
About something dear to my heart
And I listened intently to hear
What he thinks to be true
I have researched the questioned item
And found my beliefs are true
And his beliefs are not true
I love and respect him so
But now I am thoroughly perplexed
And don’t understand. ..At a crossroads
Bring back innocence and joy
Honesty takes so much away
Losing so much…does he even love me anymore

No matter, I will still love him
