The Dance Called Life

Welcome one and all
Each of must join in
Some may sing
Some will play music
Some will remain silent
Some will remain still
And there are some
Who choose to dance
Completely at will
Moving across the floor
After opening the door
Whoosh to the left
Flowing to the right
Never in one place
Too long, just gliding
Constant melodies playing
Tempo changing
Confusion sets in
Chaos for some
Comfort for others
Strangers intertwine
To make a new style
Rhythm in sync
No longer in control
Forward and backward
All directions in tow
Time and space
All mixed up like
The signs for our times
Some give in
Others follow the flow
Many stay true
To who they really are
And some learn
To become anew
As the waves
Begin to change
This direction here
Or that way there
Only in the end
Will we know
Which way was
The way of love
Until then, we dance
This dance called life

UnBeating Heart

Unbeating Heart
I waited too long
To know that closeness
I had so longed to feel
You would laugh
And cry just timely
I never understood
Until after we hugged
Our goodbyes
And no more tomorrows
For you and I together
Many moons have passed
I knew I loved you
Friends were what we…

I cried hard at the goodbyes
No comfort came from you
I knew you were better off
No more hurts nor pains
I had to forward and I did
But the feelings, the longings
Carry on…releasing you with wings
Fly away…fly off into space
Drop by a star or two
And share your amazing light
I still love you, my forever angel.

Glimpses of Sparkles

Deep darkness
Surrounded in
Depths of fog
Distance past
Condoned by many
Only to be repeated
Reinventing the lone
Ripple of light
Breaks through
The slivers in the wall
Built long ago
As a fortress
To contain all who
Dwell within only
To discover this one
Keeping the hope
As expressing new
Beyond chaos
Towards a taste
Of delights yet to come
As knowledge awoke
To the unconditional love
Expressed in sparkles
In the eye of the beholder
With a smile in gratefulness
For the one who loves
Unconditionally…thank you

Quieting Mind

Silently I lay
Just before slumber
Thoughts seem to
Rush in from all
Mostly of events
Or what ifs
I take a breath
Breathing in
And breathing out
Focusing on
One key
My breath
Is life itself
Here I lay
I need to
Quiet my mind
Breathing helps
Calms my thoughts
Welcoming my breath
Centering me
Allowing me
To create
In my mind
A place of solitude
Of innovation
Creating dreams
For my tomorrows
To thrive and survive
Quietly now
Just breathing
For what comes next

He Washed Me

We were sitting
Together he and I
Just talking
About life and love
I asked him
Explain love to me
I had seen so much
I wanted to know
More of love

He left for a moment
I felt all alone
A bit distressed
I longed for him
To return and he did
Carrying a bowl
Of water and a towel

I looked confused
But decided to see
What was to come next

He took my hand
Rubbing softly
Each muscle
Massaging me
My breathing
Slowing down
I am comforted

He takes a sprinkle
Of the water
Caressing my hand
With the towel
This loving care
To sink into
My very being
He said softly
This is love
Please go and spread
This love

A Poem Created

A Poem Created
A feeling was in the air
Words seem
ed to come from nowhere
Floating past those who didn’t care
Some refused to listen
Slowing to make a twist
A turn at the corner here
To find this willing ear
Allowing the words to be written down
The poem came to life
Making the poet glad to hear
For the words found the heartsmile
And made a home for sharing there

Into the Unknown

Into the Unknown
Quietly, softly
The silence was
Only to be given
A voice to shout out
Nothing was forsaken
Only given a new life
Calling each of us
To take a moment
To reach out
To another
Bringing to light
The influence we
All give to each other
The inspiration
The innovation
The moment of awe
Completing the cycle
Of spirals and dimension
In time and space
To make our lives
Move to improve
Our care of the world around
Our limits are then unbound

Gazing At a Puddle

A puddle shared a beauty

Of a tree and leaves

Shadows reflected in the world around

Appear to see trees in the ground

Only to realize the water is there

For all to see what is happening everywhere

The Paintbrush Called

Art supplies were nestled
All together on the bed
Ready for anytime
The call to come,
They would adhere
Looking at photos
And artwork around
Seeing something
Anything called my name
And there sat the paintbrush
Feeling a little left out
Desiring more
Pick me up, it called
Setting up to paint
I felt this urge
Deep inside an image
Vaguely presenting itself
I took the brush
Slapped on some paint
And to the canvas
My hand was drawn
To images appearing
As each stroke
Led to more
Complete fluidity
And then ultimately
A completed art piece
