Searching For Snow

Every winter and even some in fall
The distant flakes begin to fall
Gathering their dust for us all
To make snow angels in the snow
But this year, some have not seen a flake
While others cry for assistance
For those who wait for the snow
I will listen for the echoes in the wind
And hear those shouts for joy to begin
For me, I will be shocked if we see any
But am glad to see so many enjoy
The festive joy each flake brings
And the smiles and icicles on the faces
Love to all these festive days…

The Dance

Upon the stage, the curtain began to rise
The audience quieted quickly amongst themselves
Silence began with a loud bang
Two dancers pranced their way onto stage
Music on the rise
Gently and slowly, the swirls of twirls
Began to explode upon the stage
Grabbing all to view the mystique
A story is being told through rhythm
And movements to engage all
Allowing each to be carried away
Dancing within the minds
Carried away, far away
In a dreamland of sorts
To engage for the purpose of wonderment
Drifting back as the dance
Slowly comes to an end
Leaving all with an experience
Like no other…let us do this again.

Joy to All

This moment is a time
Of transitions
Of celebrations
Of connections
Of remembrances

We are all creating our lives
Making ways for the new
While carrying on older traditions
Allowing our stories to be told
Attempting to hinder opposition

As foretold, our lives
Are full of mountains and valleys
Dreams and inspiration
And encouragement
Enable us to carry on

We find Joy in moments
Of sharing
Of caring
Of learning
Of being

Giving our Joy to others
Through smiles
Through hugs

Here and now is the present
Thank you for being one to me
Blessings to all
Joy to all

Do You Remember Him?

Just a boy, a kid
He liked to laugh
And talk
Long walks
Were his game

But one day
His smile
Introduced you
To another side of him
A side that few dared
To delve into to retrieve

Riding high amongst the clouds
Dreaming of what was
Never going to be
A proud patriot
Honor and hope
Kept him alive
Until he was no more

Gone these many years
His hope carries on
In the smiles shared
And the tears
Not forgotten
My dear friend

Fly Away Robins

Quietly in dusk as the sun
Subtly went to lay and rest
Chirping sounds grew amongst the trees
Calling forth the angels to guide
And give safe passage to all
Those believers who mind the stories
As the ancient ones foretold
A woman would become known
As the whisperer to the Robins
Take heed and watch for her guidance
For the truth will come to light
As she let’s love guide all

On A Voyage Above the Clouds

take us away, along the sky-waves…to a land of unknown adventures…guide us along the way…tally-ho

The Silence

Silently,

I stand here

waiting for a response

after

asking the question.

You turn away,

then turn back

and ask, ‘who are you?’

I ask the question again…

‘Have you seen me?’

You look confused

and turn away from me.

Your eyes reach mine again.

You ask, ‘who are you?’ …

and the story loops

over and over again,

until I tire of this

and return

to the Silence.

He Mattered

So often, we
As humans just live
Our lives day to day
Making differences
From our perspective
Attempting to matter
To someone else
Sharing a smile
Part of our story
Encouraging
One another
Improving life
Taking care
To leave the world
Impacted by a trace
A mere footprint
Stating we were here
We were loved
Our lives mattered
Because we knew
Our love was real
Our story carries on
In each of those
Touched by our love
Or just in the smile
We so often shared

Lights and Shadows

Settled into making
The most of the moment
Together
Not as common
As wanted to be
Savoring the time spent
Joys and tears
Wash away those fears
Now is forever
If we choose to deliver
Lights shown brightly
Messages in shadows
Dedicating hearts
To delightful caring
Successful giving love
Hugs unfolding gracefully
Cultivating gratefulness
To enlighten joyneys
As we hug them forward
By Pauline Harris

Song Of Mine

Silently humming
A tune stuck
In my head
Bringing many smiles
Of joy felt
From seeing glimpses
Memories shown within
Keeping the mind alive
Focused upon
The moment is here
Celebrate the joyney
