A Step Into Becoming

Oneness

as one inspires one,
others inspires one…
connection to the Divine
complete
as oneness envelopes

Hear me, as I look
to the east
My eye gaze
upon a feast
Wonderous colours
Encircle the sky
As the Sun rises
To greet the day

A car may rumble by
But all I hear
Is the distant
Long since gone
Thunder
who once prey
upon us
Only to give us
so little rain

Whispering wind
still
Persists
speaking of triumphs
During the night

A squeech
A sound
A cry
The birds
delight as they drink
from the water dish
left out for the dogs

There goes little one
digging in the flowers
might be some grubs
or some mouse in there
Such a hunter
Tail-wag
Success in the making
whether to actually catch
something or not
the Success is all
in the game of play

Little joys
bring such
Big delight
to ones
who open up
to see

magic in the air

walking
just for fun
not in a rush
to go anywhere
or be anywhere

I look around
there in the forward
distance
is
a man

I ignore him
he is in a rush

Some pretty flowers
no, they are just weeds
but still pretty

two girls walk by
laughing
I say hi
they go on their way

Now for up the hill
Oh wait
Look
A duck
A duck flying

Blue clouds to one side
and white ones
in the distance

Splendid feeling
as I make it up the hill

and to the hearing of a car
I look behind…it is way back there
I can hear the car
swoosh
swoosh
almost like the sounds of waves
upon the seashore

Drawn into the sounds
am I listening to them
or to the sound of my
beating…breathing
piter pater
thump
thump
thump

and klank

The car went past
so close
it almost ran me
over

Now I understand
the driver was texting
or something with their phone
Ugh…I could have died

Back to my walk
I am grateful for my walk
the duck the two girls
even for the man in a hurry

Remembering I am here
I am alive
I am…observing, hearing,
and walking,
and breathing

I am alive

Spreading Joy Letter story

[One day…one, wonderful day. I was walking in a store and came across this envelope in an unlikely spot. The envelope had writing on it. I picked it up and began to read. “For You. Yes, you!” Turning the envelope over it said, “If you found this letter, it is intended for you to open it, read it, and keep the joy carry on.” Having previously been having a trying day, there was a new sense of excitement filling my insides with hope and joy. Opening the letter, I saw more writing. It said “For Someone Special, Yes, You. This letter is written as a expression of love and joy. Know you are amazing. You are unique. You make the world shine with your smile. Your kind words and actions send ripples of joy carried by the wind reaching around the world. Hugs to you. Know you are not alone. You are loved. Enjoy your day. Joy is contagious~~~Pass Joy Along. Thank you.” As I read the words, my whole outlook on the day changed. I felt an overwhelming sense of joy spread throughout my body and further out into the world. My smile spread to others and deep down I knew I would spread the Joy through letters of my own. Enjoy.] This story was inspired by The Giving Group- Paying It Forward, Sharing Global Love Letters, and many others throughout the years. Thank you and carry the Joy on. ~PHarris
