One Glass of Water

One Glass of Water

Finally got someone to have
One glass of water
After being sick
And in repair
There the big glass stood
By her side
Drink it, she did not
Later to find out why
The glass was too heavy
So another one, I poured
Glad to see her drink
Fluids are good
But precious water
Is the best,
As water is so scarce
In one town I once lived in
I cherish the water
And cherish the one
Who I poured the water for
…Something happened later
Someone chose to pour
The unused water out
Not thinking of putting
It in the fridge for another time
Just poured it out like it was nothing
‘It is just water’ she said
Just water, glad she could think of
The glass of water as just water
I think of all those who
Know how precious
Water is and water can be
…Here is to those who
Know One Glass of Water
Is Precious…enjoy that

and trees, changing
