Our Light
By Pauline Harris
(*)
As the covers
Slowly move off
Morning sunlight
Awakens each of us
With a gaze of rays
Eyes trying to open
Tired still, but no more
Time to rest.
Must get up.
Stretching each limb
Awakening our bodies
Opening the curtains
Refreshing light
Welcomes each of us
A glimmer of this presence
Now appears on our faces
As we think of the blessings
Enriching our lives daily
Making peace in this moment
We leave for the day
Sharing our light
With each smile
On our faces
Enjoy and hugs
