Two Artists

Both artists given the same
To prepare their way to art
Each had a canvas, paints, brushes
Each had time and patience
Their task at hand was simple
To make an art piece
Of their choosing
And make it their own way

One of the artist chose
To follow a set method
And create one they had done
Once again
Drawing an outline
Using the brushes
To form the objects
Making the art piece
Come to life with each stroke
Until satisfied with the sameness
Once again produced

The other artist starred
At the canvas for a few
Then began to look at pictures
Some of art, some of nature
Looking to see
Shapes and colors
And with one stroke
The painting was started
Upon the canvas
Each swoop led to another
Encompassing the whole
A new creation discovered
And shared with the world
