Thunder

Thunder

By Pauline Harris

(*)

Pouring rain outside

Cracks of thunder

Boom crackle boom

My mind went to wandering

Back to a childhood memory

We were discussing

What was the cause

Of thunder

God was bowling upstairs

Two or more entities

Were fighting and causing pain

Then someone turned to me

And said it was because

Of all those sinning

Staring straight at me

This person said it was my fault

And that there was no love

For anyone who sins

Nor any love for me

Some time passed before

I knew this statement

To be a lie

Damage was done

That relationship with that person gone

As my eyes and heart opened

To the love surrounding all

Each and every person

Yes some will still share hate

And hide behind the disguise

Instead of being compassionate

Moving forward

Stepping each step of love

Storms will pass

And life carries on
