Sunset

Just moments ago

We stepped out

Into the bright day

We looked around

And set our gaze

Upon this vast beauty

Of the setting sun

The sky was ablaze

With wondrous waves

Colors cast across

The sky

Only to share

This message to us

I am leaving now

And I will show up

Tomorrow again

For my dance

Has just begun

I am setting now

To rest some

For tomorrow

I come and dance again

We looked at the grace

Shared from the sun

To our faces

Gratitude filled us

Wholly and truly

We stepped back

And made peace

With this dance

The sun shared

And we declared

We, too, must rest

So as the sun set

We, too, went to rest

Sleep well

Until the morning

When we all dance again
