Thay’s Cloud

Thay’s Cloud

By Pauline Harris

(*)

At the moment

I knew to be true

Tears were released

Pour out of my eyes

Both from grief

And gratefulness

For a true teacher

Was forever with us

Guiding our silence

With wisdom beyond

Slowly the tears

Formed a puddle

Evaporating into mist

Gathering with others

Collectively together

Creating a cloud

Uniting all in this cloud

A refreshing site

This cloud grew to be

For this cloud united

All of us in

Love and Light

Forever and always

*-*

…I wrote this in honor of Thich Nhat Hanh moving on. His saying, ‘a cloud never dies.’
