The Seed Blossomed

The Seed Became More

By Pauline Harris

Up out of the ground

The seed began to push

An upward climb

A strive to survive

And to thrive…

For so long in darkness

Planted moons ago

Dirt piled on over

Covering all the seed…

Watered and left there

Time would tell

If the seed would

Come awake and stay alive…

The first break in ground

Came apparent when

A mound did appear…

Slowly cracks opened up

A small bit of life

Popping out to see

And present itself…

Here I am

I am awake

Blooming

Presently now…

Taking in this moment

Full of emotion

Breathing the air

For the very first time…

Now to focus

On more growth

Preparing to grow

Upwards

To the stars

Never to reach them

Only to dream…

For the dream

Holds passion

Once obtained

Dreams fade…

Onto blossoming

Exploring wonderment

And maybe one day

To enrich another’s life

With inspiration

And gratitude
