Step To Know

A step into wonderment…To Know…not just believing in Joy, Knowing Joy…stepping aside when something interferes and looking beyond and yet staying within the present moment. Enjoy each connection…Joy Unbounded.~pharris2013

What A Day of Wonderment

What A Day of Wonderment
By Pauline Harris

The crest of light
Upon the horizon
Brightened as the sun
Rose welcoming
A brand new day

Looking up
The clouds wept
Tears washed away
As freshness renewed
My eyes of yearnings

Awoken to this day
Sun shining
A glow to find
A peacefilled
Moment only to last
A short space of time

I pause
And breathe
Each breath
An infinity of joy
Daybreak has come
A new day starts now
Gratitude fills my soul

The Joyney of the Poet

The very soul of the poet
Has led her to take this moment
Not knowing where the words lead
Through the open crack
Within the wall
Tempting others to follow suit
However only purity
Of each breath and step
Can lead one down this joyney
Although many have seen
The outcome is to become
Here is the choice for the poet
To elevate all who whisper
The love true to becoming one
And create a unifying place
Where all can become wholly
With wonderment within

Searching For Snow

Every winter and even some in fall
The distant flakes begin to fall
Gathering their dust for us all
To make snow angels in the snow
But this year, some have not seen a flake
While others cry for assistance
For those who wait for the snow
I will listen for the echoes in the wind
And hear those shouts for joy to begin
For me, I will be shocked if we see any
But am glad to see so many enjoy
The festive joy each flake brings
And the smiles and icicles on the faces
Love to all these festive days…

The Dance

Upon the stage, the curtain began to rise
The audience quieted quickly amongst themselves
Silence began with a loud bang
Two dancers pranced their way onto stage
Music on the rise
Gently and slowly, the swirls of twirls
Began to explode upon the stage
Grabbing all to view the mystique
A story is being told through rhythm
And movements to engage all
Allowing each to be carried away
Dancing within the minds
Carried away, far away
In a dreamland of sorts
To engage for the purpose of wonderment
Drifting back as the dance
Slowly comes to an end
Leaving all with an experience
Like no other…let us do this again.

Smoky Embers

Gazing into the logs
As they begin to take flame
Engulfing embers
Combust deep within
Carrying the gazer
Towards a journey
Like no other
Captivating the soul
Enriching the feeling
Of being connected
To the oneness
Within the ever-burning
Flame
Called life
Protected
And guided
By the energies
Within the embers
Let go to fully
When left in ashes
Only to be reunited
In the new fire
