Hide I must…in plain sight

 Hide I must…in plain sight

over there is a smile

it passes me by

I see two people

holding hands

they look the other way

here I sit

out on the park lawn

watching others

as they watch others

ducks quacking

near the pond

there I sit

seeing others

find joy in being

alone or with another

I wave hi

to a friend

she does not see me

she sees the one she loves

joy fills up her face

a man walks by

and waves

I wave back

his wave is for another

I sink into my lil hole

hide I must

in plain site

for no one around

has come to see me

but me

Oh yeah, me…

I can spend time with me

I like all the things I like to do

alas, I found the smile

it grew upon my face
